  • Yes. The 16-character account part may mix letters and digits, as in the registry’s example RO49 AAAA 1B31 0075 9384 0000, where AAAA stands for the four letters from the bank’s BIC. Copy it exactly as the bank prints it.

  • Yes. Romania is an EU member state, so it is in SEPA: euro payments to a Romanian IBAN can go by SEPA credit transfer. SEPA covers euro payments only, so a payment in Romanian leu goes outside it.
