Holyheld vs Revolut Business

Revolut Business fits a company registered in the UK or the EEA that pays in many currencies, because it supports more than 25 currencies and includes a monthly allowance of exchange at the interbank rate. Holyheld Business fits a company that is paid in stablecoins and settles in USD or EUR, converting between them in the same account and sending wires so the recipient receives the full amount.

Stablecoins: an asset to trade, or money to settle

Revolut Business treats crypto mainly as an asset: a business can buy, hold and sell it in the app, and its Crypto for Business page says businesses can send and receive stablecoins such as USDT and USDC. Its terms make transfers to and from outside wallets depend on the plan and the location, and its help centre explains how to send crypto to an outside wallet, while another of its articles says Business accounts can’t send or receive crypto. Check in the app what your plan and country allow.

Holyheld treats stablecoins as a way to pay and get paid. Off-ramp transfers turn supported stablecoins into USD or EUR, on-ramp transfers do the reverse, and swaps exchange one stablecoin for another.

Holyheld works with USDC on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, Avalanche and Solana, and with EURC on Ethereum, Base and Solana. Companies outside the EEA can also use USDT, PYUSD and USDG.

Which one fits

Revolut fits

  • A UK or EEA company holding and exchanging many currencies, where the plan’s exchange allowance covers most conversions.
  • A team that sends many international payments, since the Scale plan includes 25 a month.

Holyheld fits

  • A company paid in USDC or EURC that converts it to USD or EUR in the account it pays from.
  • A company that wants a dedicated concierge rather than an account manager on an enterprise plan.

Common questions

  • Revolut’s help centre says the company must be registered, and able to prove its physical presence, in the UK or the EEA, and the applicant must live in a supported country. Companies registered in the US have their own list of supported countries.

  • It depends on the plan and the country. Revolut’s terms and help centre describe sending USDC on Ethereum and receiving it on Ethereum and Polygon, while one of its help centre articles says Business accounts can’t send or receive crypto.

  • For a company registered in the EEA, yes: a Lithuanian IBAN, or a local one once the account moves to a local branch. A UK-registered company gets SWIFT details for euros rather than local ones.

  • A fixed fee of 1.49% on Basic, 0.99% on Grow and 0.49% on Scale and Enterprise, plus a spread included in the rate. Sending USDC to an outside wallet costs £5 plus the network fee.

  • Holyheld Business has named USD and EUR accounts. Pounds received over Faster Payments are converted and credited to the USD account, and UK accounts can be paid in pounds from a USD account.
