Payments

Pay in the vendor's own token

Send Money now pays a vendor's crypto wallet in the token the vendor expects, not only in your account's default. From a USD account you can also buy another token on the wallet's network for the vendor, and when the paying account is short, you can convert from your other currency to cover the payment. Token purchases and conversions are priced, and agreed by you, before anything is sent.

Pay the vendor in, listing DAI, WETH and AERO on Base, beside a quote of about 2,500.00 DAI, at least 2,487.50 DAI, paid from USD Main.

Three ways to pay

  • The token saved on the wallet. When a vendor's wallet on an EVM network is saved with a stablecoin in your account's currency, the payment goes out in that stablecoin. A EUR account pays EURC. A USD account pays the dollar stablecoin the wallet names, or USDC if it names none.
  • Another token, bought for the vendor. From a USD account, Pay the vendor in lets you search tokens on the wallet's network by name, symbol or address. The quote shows about how much the vendor receives and the least they will receive, and you tick to agree to that minimum. The review then lists the Total debit, the token purchase and the Transfer fee.
  • A conversion to cover a shortfall. If the paying account doesn't hold enough, Send Money offers to convert from your other currency, showing about how much will be converted and the least that leaves you to pay from. Press Apply to use it, or Undo to take it back.

Good to know

  • Changing the payment changes the price. Choosing another token, amount or wallet clears what you agreed, and editing the amount prices the conversion again.
  • Wallets in the other currency can't be paid. Paying a EURC wallet from a USD account, for example, is refused on the screen, with a prompt to choose another wallet or pay from a different account.
  • Covering conversions are for Main accounts. Converting your other currency to cover a payment is only possible when you pay from a Main account.
  • Not on every account. Where paying in another token or converting isn't available to your company, Send Money says so in place of the option.
