A company may receive stablecoins while paying suppliers in USD or EUR. It may also receive bank payments and need to pay a supplier in stablecoins. The useful starting point is the currency or asset the recipient needs to receive.
Holyheld brings named USD and EUR accounts, native stablecoin support and global payments into one Business membership. On-ramp and off-ramp describe the two directions between fiat money and digital assets.
Choose the direction of the payment
An on-ramp converts fiat into a supported digital asset. An off-ramp converts a supported digital asset into fiat. Moving an existing stablecoin between wallets, or exchanging one stablecoin for another, is a different operation from paying a bank account.
Set the destination first: a beneficiary account and currency for a bank payment, or the agreed wallet address, asset and network for a stablecoin payment.
Check the asset and the network together
A token name alone is not a complete payment instruction. Confirm the network and the specific asset supported by both sides of the transfer, using the current payment instructions in your account.
USDC illustrates why this matters. Circle distinguishes native USDC from bridged USDC: they have different issuance arrangements. A service supporting one form does not automatically support the other. Tether likewise publishes protocol-specific information for USD₮.
Do not infer Holyheld support from an issuer’s network list. Check the combination available for your transaction. Keep the asset, network and recipient details with the payment record, and confirm any changed instructions with the recipient before sending.
Review conversion and delivery as separate stages
For a stablecoin-to-bank payment, the workflow involves receiving the digital asset, converting it and delivering fiat through a payment route. Blockchain confirmation and the recipient’s bank credit are separate events.
For a bank-to-stablecoin payment, incoming fiat must be available for conversion before the digital asset can be delivered. The destination network then has its own confirmation process.
- Receive stablecoins Confirm receipt of the supported asset on the agreed network.
- Convert to fiat Review the quote, fees and the USD or EUR amount for the bank payment.
- Confirm bank receipt Track the transfer through to the beneficiary's account credit.
- Receive bank funds Confirm the fiat balance is available for the payment.
- Convert to stablecoins Check the quote, asset and destination network together.
- Confirm wallet receipt Verify delivery to the agreed wallet on that network.
A fast blockchain transaction does not establish a universal bank-arrival time. Review the available route and its delivery information before committing to a supplier deadline. If timing is critical, discuss the specific payment with your concierge.
Keep a complete record of the payment
For each payment, keep the invoice or business purpose, starting amount, conversion details, fees, recipient amount and payment reference. For the blockchain part, retain the transaction hash and network; for the bank part, retain the transfer reference.
Consider a company that receives a stablecoin payment for a consulting invoice and owes a supplier EUR 8,000. Its finance team first confirms the receipt, then reviews the conversion needed for the EUR obligation and the available bank route. After the transfer, it reconciles the actual stablecoin amount used, conversion, fees and EUR receipt. The EUR invoice amount alone does not establish how many stablecoins the payment will cost. This is an illustrative workflow.
Holyheld’s virtual accounts, analytics and team permissions help organise the company’s funds and responsibilities around these payments.
Read the relevant price and quote
The Business fee schedule lists membership, on-ramp and off-ramp charges separately. Stablecoin conversion and an on-ramp or off-ramp transfer are separate pricing lines; a conversion fee should not be read as the total cost of every payment.
Review the applicable transfer fee, conversion quote and any other charges shown for the transaction. For a transaction that needs an OTC quote, discuss the asset, amount and settlement needs with your concierge.
