Stablecoins are the main difference
Mercury states that its accounts can currently only hold fiat. A stablecoin payment means sending funds to a third-party exchange first, at that exchange's prices (Mercury).
With Holyheld, conversion happens in the account: off-ramp transfers turn supported stablecoins into USD or EUR, and on-ramp transfers do the reverse, at 0.5% each. Swaps between stablecoins cost 0%. Holyheld works with supported networks including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Solana.
What each costs for the same month
Take a company that sends 20 international USD wires a month, each sent so the recipient receives the full amount:
| Monthly cost | Holyheld Business | Mercury |
|---|---|---|
| Plan | CHF 50 | $0 |
| 20 wires sent OUR | $200 | $300 |
Sent the standard way (SHA) instead, Mercury's wires cost nothing, but intermediary banks may deduct fees from what the recipient receives (Mercury). For a company that pays mostly by ACH or SEPA and converts stablecoins, Holyheld's flat membership covers those transfers, and each conversion costs 0.5%.
Limits of this comparison
- Prices change. Mercury's figures were checked on 23 October 2026; Holyheld's come from its Business pricing.
- Holyheld is invite only. Each application is reviewed, and companies whose needs Holyheld can support are invited.
- Not everything is compared. Cards, credit and Mercury's Treasury product are outside this page.
